Sentinel's extensive planning process and community engagement efforts have highlighted numerous objectives for the proposed development east of West Coast Highway, starting with a visually appealing design that respects Scarborough’s history, the sustainability of its future and the need for innovative housing opportunities consistent with the diversity of Scarborough’s population. We intend to include public open space, concessions and pet-friendly areas for the community. We will look to further serve the neighbourhood with support services for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as public art engagement along the Manning Street corridor to create cultural opportunities beyond the beach. Transitional public space at the connection of Manning Street and West Coast Highway will promote safe traffic crossings and suitably scaled commercial opportunities will encourage the growth of local business in that area.
